Ingredients:

  • 3 cups self-raising flour

  • 1 tsp mixed spice

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 tbs brown sugar

  • 1 cup milk

  • 150g butter, melted

  • 1/3 cup margarine

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup icing sugar

  • 1 tbsp milk

Method:

  1. Combine the self raising flour, mixed spice, salt, brown sugar, milk and butter

  2. Mix using a spoon until it starts to form a dough, then tip out onto a floured bench and kneed until well combined

  3. Roll dough out into a 30cmx45cm rectangle

  4. Mix together margarine and brown sugar to form a paste, spread paste onto the dough

  5. Roll dough starting at the long side

  6. Cut roll into 12 pieces, then take each piece and press down onto a backing sheet

  7. Bake in the oven at 180°c for 15 minutes or until golden

  8. Mix icing sugar and milk together to form a glaze

  9. Pour glaze over cinnamon scrolls and enjoy
