Ingredients:

  • 1kg minced beef

  • 1 finely chopped onion

  • 1 finely chopped carrot

  • 1 finely chopped celery stick

  • Rosemary

  • Thyme

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1 cup of tomato passata/sauce

  • 1 cup stock

  • 5 sheets of puff pastry

  • 1 egg

  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

  2. Add oil and onion to large pot cook until golden brown

  3. Add carrot, celery, thyme & rosemary to the pot, cook until soft.

  4. Add beef, cook while stirring until brown then add the tomato paste and sauce.

  5. Defrost pastry and cut into half, add meat and egg wash 1 side, roll up and place on tray. Egg wash top and add sesame seeds to the top. Cook for about ½ an hour or until golden brown. Then enjoy!
