Ingredients:

  • 200g ground pork

  • 2 leaves minced cabbage

  • 100g minced Chinese chives

  • ½ minced green onion

  • 20g grated ginger

  • 1 clove grated garlic

  • ½ tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp sake

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • ½ tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 packet gyoza wrappers (~ 50 sheets)

  • 1 tbsp oil

Method:

  1. Mix pork, cabbage, chives, green onion, ginger, garlic, oyster sauce, sake, soy sauce and sesame oil together in a bowl until well combined

  2. Place roughly 1.5 tsp of pork mix into the centre of a gyoza wrapper

  3. Smear water along the edge of the circle

  4. Fold in half and pleat the edges so it is completely enclosed (watch video to understand how to do this!)

  5. Heat oil in a large fry-pan

  6. Place dumplings into pan and cook over medium high heat until the bottoms are golden-brown

  7. Add around ¼ cup of water to the pan and cover

  8. Let dumplings steam until water is gone, this will take around 5 minutes

  9. Uncover and remove dumplings from the pan, enjoy!
