Ingredients:

200g softened butter

90g icing sugar
-
1 egg yolk
-
250g plain flour
-
2g baking powder
-
5g wattle seeds (optional but delicious!)
Method:

Preheat oven to 180°c

Lightly cream the butter and sugar

Mix in the egg yolk
-
Fold in flour, baking powder and wattleseed
-
Roll into small balls (a bit under a tablespoon)

Place onto sheet and lightly press down to flatten
-
Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown
Chefs tip:
You don't need to include the wattleseed if you don't live in Australia but they do add a delicious taste and crunch to the shortbread!
